Bill Wurtz Claims Responsibility for Inventing Music
The music world has been rocked by the revelation that Bill Wurtz, the internet musician famous for his quirky songs and videos, claims to be the true inventor of music.
In a recent interview, Wurtz stated that he first came up with the idea of music several centuries ago, while experimenting with sound in his laboratory.
"I was messing around one day, trying to create a new chemical compound, when I stumbled upon something extraordinary," Wurtz said. "I realized that the vibrations I was generating with my instruments sounded beautiful, and I knew I had stumbled upon something truly revolutionary."
Wurtz claims that he gave birth to the genre of music as we know it today, and that every single composer, songwriter, and musician since then has been simply riffing on his original ideas.
"As soon as I shared my discovery with the world, everyone just took it and ran with it," Wurtz said. "It's like I handed out the recipe and everyone else just added their own flavors to the mix."
The music community has been somewhat skeptical of Wurtz's claims, with many pointing out that musical instruments and compositions existed long before his alleged invention of music.
"Sorry, but I'm pretty sure Beethoven and Mozart were writing symphonies long before Bill Wurtz was even a twinkle in his great-great-great-great-great-grandfather's eye," said classical music expert Dr. Sandra Tillman.
Despite the backlash, Wurtz remains steadfast in his belief that he deserves credit for inventing music, and is even considering legal action to enforce his ownership of the intellectual property.
"I know it sounds crazy, but I really think I have a case to make here," Wurtz said. "I mean, think about it: every time someone hums or whistles a tune, they're technically using my invention without permission."
Wurtz's claims have sparked a fierce debate in the music world, with some hailing him as a visionary and others dismissing his story as a delusional fiction. What is clear, however, is that the question of who truly invented music remains a contentious and unresolved issue.
