In what can only be described as a complete and utter failure of business acumen, a young boy attempted to sell the sun on online marketplaces last week.
According to sources close to the situation, the unnamed boy from suburban America was hoping to cash in on a unique opportunity by listing the giant ball of fire for sale. He reportedly described the item as "in great condition" and "a steal at any price."
Unfortunately for the young entrepreneur, buyers were quick to point out the impracticality of owning the sun, with many noting that the sheer size and heat of the celestial body made it a terrible investment. Some even reported receiving severe burns just from attempting to make the purchase.
"I thought it would be a good idea to own the sun, you know, in case I ever needed some extra light or heat," explained one potential buyer who wished to remain anonymous. "But then I tried to contact the seller and ended up with third-degree burns all over my body. Needless to say, I'm not interested anymore."
Despite the backlash, the boy remains optimistic that he will eventually find a buyer for the sun.
"I think people just don't appreciate the value of a good star," he said in a recent interview. "Once they realize how much they need it, they'll be begging me to sell it to them."
It remains to be seen whether the boy will be successful in his quest to sell the sun, but for now, buyers are urged to exercise caution when considering any purchases related to celestial bodies.
