Founder of The Wibble regrets name choice, wishes site was called 'The Fluffernutter'

After years of success, the founder of The Wibble has announced that she made a grave mistake in choosing the name for the popular satire site. In an exclusive interview, she admitted that she wishes she had named it "The Fluffernutter" instead.

"I mean, come on, who doesn't love fluffernutters?" she exclaimed, taking a bite out of a particularly messy sandwich. "It's just such a fun word, and it perfectly captures the tone of our site - light-hearted and a little bit silly."

While many loyal Wibble readers were taken aback by this sudden change of heart, others were supportive of the rebranding effort.

"I can definitely see the appeal of The Fluffernutter," said longtime fan Mabel Johnson. "But at the end of the day, it's not the name that makes the site great - it's the hilarious content."

Nevertheless, the founder was adamant that the name change would take place as soon as possible. She even went so far as to commission a new logo, featuring a smiling anthropomorphic sandwich.

"I just think it's a better representation of who we are as a brand," she explained. "And it's a great excuse for us to have a big sandwich party. Who's with me?"

Despite initial backlash from some Wibble die-hards, the site's traffic has remained steady in the wake of the name change announcement. And while it remains to be seen whether "The Fluffernutter" will take over as the internet's go-to source for satire, it's clear that the founder is determined to keep her beloved sandwich at the forefront of the online conversation.

In a world that can often feel bleak and overwhelming, maybe a little bit of fluffernutter is exactly what we need.
