Andre, a local education support staff member, has recently won an award for his expertise in napping. While most educators focus on their teaching skills, Andre has devoted his time to master the art of snoozing during important meetings and events.
We caught up with Andre to get the lowdown on his award-winning strategies. "I never thought I would receive an award for sleeping," Andre chuckles, "but I am proud of my achievements."
When asked about his secret to successful napping, Andre says, "It's all about timing and positioning. You have to know when to close your eyes and how to position yourself for maximum comfort."
Andre shared some of his tactics with us. "First, I always make sure to sit in the back during meetings and events. That way, I can easily lean back and relax without being noticed."
"Second, I strategically place my computer screen to block anyone's line of sight," Andre explains. "If they can't see my closed eyes, they assume I'm just taking notes."
We were impressed with the level of detail and planning that goes into Andre's napping strategy. But what about snoring, we asked? "I make sure to keep my phone on vibrate in case I start snoring," Andre says. "That way, I can wake myself up discreetly."
As we continued to chat with Andre, we couldn't help but notice the small grin on his face. "I guess you really do love napping," we remark.
"Absolutely," Andre responds. "Napping is an art form, and I take it very seriously. Plus, it's a great way to recharge and stay energized."
As our conversation comes to a close, Andre leaves us with some final advice. "If you want to incorporate napping into your daily routine, start small. Take short naps during your lunch break or when you get home from work. And don't be afraid to experiment with different positions and locations."
We thank Andre for his time and congratulate him once again on his award. Who knew that a love for napping could lead to such recognition?
