Local man disappointed to discover zombies don't actually exist

Local man Terry Smith was devastated to learn that zombies are not real. Smith, along with countless others, has been preparing for a zombie apocalypse for years. He had his bug-out bag ready, his weapons polished, and his shelter fully stocked. But now it seems all his hard work may have been for naught.

Smith spoke with The Wibble about his disappointment. "I just don't know what to do now," he lamented. "I thought for sure the zombies were coming, and I was ready. And now...I don't know. It's like my whole world has been turned upside down."

The news of zombies' non-existence has shaken the world to its core. People everywhere are questioning what other fictional creatures may not be real. Bigfoot? Loch Ness Monster? The Tooth Fairy? It's anyone's guess.

But for Smith, the feeling of betrayal is palpable. "I mean, why were all these movies and TV shows made about zombies if they weren't even real?" he wondered. "It's just not fair."

Smith's disappointment has not gone unnoticed by the scientific community. Zombie expert Dr. Jane Foster spoke on the matter, saying, "It's unfortunate that Mr. Smith and others like him have been misled for so long. However, we must remember that zombies are a work of fiction. They were never real to begin with."

Despite Dr. Foster's explanation, Smith and others like him are still struggling to come to terms with the news. The Wibble spoke with Dr. Foster to ask if there was anything that could be done to help people like Smith cope. "Unfortunately, there isn't much we can do," she said. "This is a matter of accepting reality. Zombies may be fun to imagine, but they were never real. It's time to let go of that fantasy."

Smith, however, is still holding out hope. "I mean, just because they don't exist now doesn't mean they won't in the future, right?" he asked. "Maybe science will find a way to bring them back to life. You never know."

As for the rest of us, it may be time to start questioning our beliefs in other fictional creatures. Are unicorns real? Will dragons fly out of the sky and terrorize our cities? Probably not. But one can always dream.
