Maybe I Needing Later: Man Postpones Figure Skating Dream to Focus on Netflix Binge

A man from Connecticut has put his lifelong dream of becoming a professional figure skater on hold to watch more Netflix shows. Tyler Jennings, 27, decided that he would rather stay in, sit on his couch, and binge-watch popular shows like "Stranger Things" and "Money Heist" instead of pursuing his dream.

"I've always wanted to be a figure skater since I was a kid," said Jennings. "But then I started watching all these great shows on Netflix, and I just couldn't stop. I kept saying to myself that I'll start training tomorrow, but tomorrow never came."

Jennings admits that he has been putting off his figure skating training for quite some time now. He says that he binge-watches up to eight hours of Netflix shows a day, sometimes even missing meals. His passion for figure skating has been replaced with a passion for finding the next great show to watch.

"I know I'm letting down my family and myself, but I just can't help it," said Jennings. "I keep telling myself that maybe I'll start tomorrow, but then the next day, I find another great show to watch."

Jennings' story has struck a chord with many people on social media, with some calling him a hero for his honesty in admitting his passion for TV shows. Others have tried to convince him to pursue his dreams of figure skating, but Jennings remains undecided.

"I really don't know what to do," said Jennings. "On the one hand, I feel like I'm wasting my life away on TV shows. But on the other hand, I can't deny how much joy I get from watching them. Maybe I really do need to pursue my figure skating dreams…maybe I'm just needing later."

To make matters worse, Jennings has developed carpal tunnel syndrome from all the binge-watching he has been doing.

"I can barely move my fingers," said Jennings. "I'm pretty sure it's from holding the remote so much. But even that hasn't stopped me from watching more shows. I just use my nose to change the channels now."

Despite his predicament, Jennings remains hopeful that he will one day pursue his figure skating dreams. He plans to take up training once he finishes watching every single TV show on Netflix.

"Just a few more shows to go," said Jennings. "Then I'll be ready to take on the ice."
