There are people obsessed with watching sports, those keen on Netflix binges, and then there are those like Victor Spendnight. His screen-time has a little less Netflix and a lot more numbers - particularly those related to the USD/JPY exchange rate. When we say 'a lot', we mean 24/7, leaving no room for mere trivialities like sleep.
Victor spends his nights staring at a hauntingly beautiful combination of lines, numbers, and squiggly things that would give most people a goodnight's rest. Not this monetary somnambulist! It's his version of the Starry Night - a chart with pennants, Bollinger bands, and Ichimoku clouds instead of swirling blue colors and golden stars.
While most of us argue about the merits of standing desks or ergonomic chairs, Victor’s seating arrangement has all the comfort of a medieval torture device. His relationship with his chair makes marriage look like speed dating. They're together for better or worse, in sickness and in health (and clearly this can’t be good for his health), till economic collapse or a power cut do them part.
