Man Discovers Nearest Bridge Only Accepts Contactless Payments

In a shocking discovery, a man contemplating jumping off the nearest bridge decided to back off after realizing that the bridge only accepts contactless payments.

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, told our Wibble correspondent that he had been going through some tough times lately. He says he saw the bridge as the perfect escape from his troubles.

"I had no idea what I was getting into. I was so desperate, I just wanted the easiest way out of my problems. Little did I know that the bridge had implemented contactless payment as a means of donation. It just didn't make sense to me," he lamented.

To add salt to injury, the man had no phone with him at the time. He had no way of making contactless payments at all. He was forced to get off the bridge and walk to the nearest convenience store to purchase a contactless payment card.

Fortunately for the man, his journey to the convenience store gave him time to reflect on his actions. He reconsidered his decision to jump off the bridge after realizing that he had a lot more to live for.

"I took that moment to reflect on my life, and I realized that my problems weren't as big as I thought they were. I returned to the bridge with a renewed sense of purpose. I was not going back to that dark place again," he added.

The Wibble reached out to the authorities in charge of the bridge to find out more about the contactless payment rule. They confirmed that the rule came into effect after they noticed an increase in the number of people throwing coins at pedestrians.

"We're just trying to make the bridge a safer place for everyone. We don't want anyone getting hurt," said a representative from the bridge authority.

The bridge authority, however, assured the public that they do accept traditional payment methods at their toll booths.

"We allow people to use coins at our toll booths. We also accept cash and bank transfers. We're not here to inconvenience anyone in any way," he added.

Although many bridge users have called the new rule unnecessary, some believe it's a step in the right direction. It helps to keep the bridge clean and ensures the safety of pedestrians.

Meanwhile, the man who discovered the bridge's new payment rule has been hailed a hero. He has inspired many people to rethink their choices and not resort to drastic measures when going through tough times.

As for the man himself, he says that his experience has taught him a valuable lesson.

"Life can be tough sometimes, but it's important to keep pushing. I'm glad that I didn't make the mistake of jumping off the bridge. Now, I can tell my story and inspire others to stay strong."
