It's a typical Sunday morning and Frank "Donut King" Thompson is up bright and early. He has a singular goal in mind: to break the world record for most donuts eaten in a minute. The current record, set back in 2014, stands at 55 donuts. But Frank is determined to surpass it.
He's been training for months, eating dozens upon dozens of donuts every day. His stomach has stretched to an almost superhuman capacity, and he's convinced that he can take down the current champion.
"The key to success is mental preparation," Frank tells us. "You need to believe in yourself and your abilities. And you need to have a hunger, a drive, that propels you forward."
As we watch Frank scarf down donut after donut, it's clear that he's in a league of his own. His technique is flawless, his jaw moving with rapid precision as he chews and swallows each morsel. The audience is on the edge of their seats, cheering him on.
But just as Frank nears the end of his minute, disaster strikes. He chokes on a particularly large donut and is unable to finish the final few bites. His face turns red as he gasps for air, and we all hold our breath in anticipation.
Finally, Frank coughs up the offending pastry and takes a deep breath. He looks into the camera with determination.
"I may have failed today," he says. "But I'm never gonna give up. I'll be back next year, stronger and hungrier than ever before."
And with that, Frank Thompson takes another bite of a donut, ready to start training for his next attempt at greatness.
