World's Cats Decline Invitation to Empathy Seminar

The world was left in shock today as the global feline population collectively declined an invitation to attend an empathy seminar aimed at educating cats on human emotions and behaviors.

The invitation, which was sent out by a group of concerned animal behaviorists, was met with disdain by cats all over the world, who apparently have no interest in learning about the humans they share their homes with.

"Frankly, we're not surprised," said Dr. Pauline Whiskers, one of the organizers of the empathy seminar. "Cats have been doing their own thing for thousands of years, and they're not about to start caring about our feelings now."

The news came as a blow to many cat owners, who were hoping that the seminar would help improve their relationship with their furry friends. "I really thought this seminar could have been a turning point for me and my cat," said Miranda Fitzgerald, a cat owner from London. "But I guess I'll just have to keep trying to interpret her mood swings on my own."

Despite this setback, animal behaviorists are refusing to give up on the idea of educating cats. "We're looking into other ways to educate cats on human empathy," said Dr. Whiskers. "Maybe we can use treats to incentivize them to learn about our emotions. Or maybe we can try communicating with them telepathically."

Until then, it seems that cat owners will have to accept their pets' apathetic attitudes towards them. But hey, at least our dogs still love us.
